Willard Jessee "Sonny" Hamilton, 67of Ewing, passed away Monday, July 16, 2018 at Baptist Health in Lexington after a brief illness.
He was born February 3, 1951 in Fleming County, Kentucky to the late Andy and Frances Farrow Hamilton.
Sonny was retired from East Kentucky Power Transmission Company in Maysville where he had worked as a heavy equipment operator. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He attended the Kentontown Christian Church and enjoyed playing horseshoes, fishing, working on cars and NASCAR. He was the owner and operator of S. & J. Body Shop in Ewing.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Danny Hamilton.
Survivors include two daughters, Staci Johnson (Scott) of Mt. Olivet, Kentucky and Joni Hamilton of Henderson, Texas. Five sisters, Katherine Barber (Paul) of Hillsboro, Kentucky, Linda Stidham (J. R.) of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, Beulah Burns (Tim) of Richmond, Kentucky, Brenda Williamson (Dave) of Clearfield, Kentucky and Barbara Adams (Mike) of Clearfield, Kentucky. Five grandchildren, Tyler Bradford, Jayden Edmond, Lily Johnson, McKaya Linton and Kinley Linton. One great-grandchild, Colten Bradford. Also many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, July 21, 2018 in the chapel of the Price Brothers Funeral Home in Elizaville with Pastor Paul Waddelow officiating.
Burial with full military honors will follow in the Prince Cemetery on Maxey Flats Road.
Visitation at the Price Brothers Funeral Home in Elizaville is after 12 noon on Saturday.
Pall Bearers will be Tyler Bradford, Tim Burns, J. J. Jones, Donnie Gray, Artie Gibbs and Harry Fagan.
