Barbara Jean Mitchell

Barbara Jean Mitchell, 51 of Flemingsburg, Kentucky passed away on Friday, November 29, 2024, at the Fleming County Hospital in Flemingsburg as a result of a house fire. 

She was born May 6, 1973, in Carlisle, Kentucky a daughter of the late Eugene "Bad Eye" Mitchell and Joy Jolly Mitchell.

Barbara, affectionately known as "Barbie", worked as a dietary aide for over 15 years. Most of her career was at the Fleming County Hospital and Pioneer Trace Nursing home. She was known for the love of playing bingo and cards, but most of all spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Mitchell; brother-in-law, Wendell "Chatty" Morris; and her late husband, Randy Jolly. 

Survivors include her husband of thirteen years, Walter Mitchell; one son, Dustin Jolly and wife Tonya; one sister, April Shrout and her husband Wess; one granddaughter, Annalynn "Grimmy" Cox; two nieces, Chassity Morris and husband Bubba and Samantha Morris and husband Corey; two nephews, Matthew Morris and wife Brittany and T.J. Morris; several great-nieces, great nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 4, 2024, in the chapel of the Price Brothers Funeral Home with Brother Ray Bryant officiating. 

Barb will be laid to rest in the Elizaville Cemetery.

Visitation at Price Brothers Funeral Home is after 11:00 A.M. until the hour of service at 1:00 P.M.

Casket bearers will be Matthew Morris, Josh Mitchell, Mitchell Hunt, Bradly Burke, Kurtis Godsey, Eddie Mitchell.

Honorary casket bearers will be T.J. Morris, Megan Abner and Brittany Abner.
