Mrs. Barbara Kay Mitchell Watkins, 69 of the Tunnel Hill Community of Fleming County, passed away unexpectedly Friday evening in the Bourbon Community Hospital in Paris.
She was born in Nicholas County, Kentucky on February 14, 1949 to the late Elmer (Buddy) and Louise Fryman Mitchell.
She was retired from Jockey International where she was employed for over 34 years. She was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Christian Church and was also a cancer survivor.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Billy Wayne Watkins, three sisters, Anna Bailey, Connie Cox and Wanda Cox. One brother Ronnie Mitchell, three brother-in-laws, Delbert Bailey, Jackie Cox and Bill Emmons. One sister-in-law, Betty Mitchell.
Barbara is survived by her children, Mike (Missy) Watkins, Tony (Melanie) Watkins and Teresa (Tony) Jefferson all of Carlisle. Her grandchildren, Samantha (Jessie) Jones of Georgetown, Kentucky, Cord Watkins of Ewing, Dylan Watkins of Carlisle, Mitchell Jefferson, Ben (Heather) Jefferson of Carlisle, Chelsey Greathouse of Mason, Ohio and Bethany Lyons of Carlisle. Great-grandchildren, Hudson Jones and Raelynn Jefferson.
Four brothers, Larry Mitchell, Jackie Mitchell, Donnie Mitchell and Danny Mitchell. Two sisters, Dixie Wilcoxson and Amy Mitchell Emmons. Also, several nieces, nephews and other relatives and good friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 13, 2018 in the chapel of the Price Brothers Funeral Home in Elizaville with Brother Dean Brewer officiating.
Burial will follow in the Elizaville Cemetery.
Visitation at the Price Brothers Funeral Home is after 5:00 P.M. Monday.
Pall Bearers will be Wayne Wilcoxson, Chris Cox, Brian Cox, Steven Mitchell, Jason Mitchell and Tyler Mitchell.
