Barry Ruark

December 9, 1957 — April 29, 2017

Mr. Barry Francis Ruark, 59, of Carlisle, Kentucky passed away Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the U. K. Chandler Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.

He was born on December 9, 1957 in Maysville, Kentucky, a son of Norma Jane Purcell Ruark and the late Earl F. Ruark.

Barry was a former employee of Jockey International in Carlisle.

He was a Christian and one of the most loving, caring and kind men you would ever want to meet.  He loved his family and his Church Family, but most of all he loved his Lord and Savior.  Barry was a member of the Mt. Tabor Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Debbie Lester Ruark, his mother, Norma Jane Purcell Ruark of Ewing, Kentucky, two brothers, Johnny E. (Molly) Ruark of Ewing, Kentucky and Roger H. (Carolyn) Ruark of Ewing, Kentucky, one sister-in-law, Pam Lester (Terry) Earehart of Tollesboro, Kentucky, nephews, Travis E. Ruark and Cody D. Ruark both of Ewing, Kentucky, Kyle H. (Kayla Kincaid) Ruark of Mason County, Kentucky, Jeff (Lisa) Hay of Louisville, Kentucky, James (Leslie) Hay of Morehead, Kentucky and nieces, Sylvia D. Ruark of Ewing, Kentucky, Christy (Jay) Dickerson of Beverly, Kentucky, Emily (Rich) Boyle of Batavia, Ohio and Becky Earehart and Pierce Collier of Burtonville, Kentucky.

Barry was preceded in death by his father, Earl F. Ruark, mother-in-law, Sue Payne Lester and father-in-law, Cartie Lester (of Carlisle) and brother-in-law, Jeff Lester.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at the Mt. Tabor Methodist Church with Pastor Greg Grimes officiating.

Burial will follow in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery.

Visitation is from 5:00 PM. To 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at the Mt. Tabor Church.

The Prices Brothers Funeral Home in Elizaville is serving the family.
