Betty Joyce Ashcraft, as known by many as Ms. Betty, a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend, passed away at her residence on Monday. October 27, 2025, at the age of 85. She passed away in the same home she started housekeeping over 63 years ago.  Born on March 23, 1940, in Harrison County, Kentucky, Betty lived a life rich with service, love, and countless cherished memories.

A proud graduate of Deming High School in 1959, Betty's passion for helping others was evident throughout her life. She dedicated many years as a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, served diligently as a 4-H Leader, she was a former employee of Bluegrass Industries and the Robertson County Attorney's office. She was also an election officer for many years. Her commitment to her community was unparalleled, culminating in a remarkable 35-year career at the Blue Licks Grocery BP Gas Station, where she became a familiar face and a source of comfort to locals.

Betty was a devoted member of the Kentontown Christian Church, embodying a spirit of kindness and generosity that touched the lives of many. Her hobbies brought her joy, particularly quilting, collecting recipes, and indulging in her love for country music. Betty relished her time spent watching television shows such as Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, moments she often enjoyed with her loved ones. Above all, she treasured spending time with her family, which was the cornerstone of her life.

Betty is survived by her loving daughter, Anita Carol Ashcraft Corbin of Mt. Olivet, Kentucky; her brothers, twins, Freddie Lane Anderson (Teresa) and Eddie Wayne Anderson (Lorene), both of Mt. Olivet; and her cherished grandchildren, Chander Tyler Ray Corbin (fiancé Justin Gray) of Ewing, Kentucky, and William Chance Walton Corbin of Mt. Olivet. She also leaves behind a special circle of nieces and nephews: Michael Lane Anderson, Kerry Ann Wright (Billy), Sherry Cain Myers, Lon Leslie Cain, Vanessa Lynn Anderson, and Eddie Wayne Anderson. Two nieces, Linda Parry of West Liberty, Kentucky and Sandra Carol Murry of Mt. Olivet. Her compassionate caregiver, Janet Absher of Harrison County, along with special hospice nurse Kelcie Lafollette RN, provided tender care in her final days. Betty's feline companion, Willie, was a constant source of comfort and companionship through all of life's seasons.

Betty is reunited with her beloved parents, John Leslie Anderson and Bessie Thompson Henderson Anderson, as well as her husband, Billy Carroll Ashcraft, who watched over her from above. She is also preceded in death by her son-in-law, Kevin Walton Corbin; her brother, Jerry Leslie Anderson; and her sister, Doris Jean Anderson Cain, all of whom she treasured dearly.
