Brenda Carol Filson Perkins, 84, of Ewing, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at the Saint Joseph Hospital-Main in Lexington, Kentucky.

She was born January 20, 1942  in Maysville, Kentucky to the late William F. Filson and Geraldine Pickrell Filson.

Brenda was a homemaker and a farmer helping run the Perkins Dairy Farm in Ewing. She was a 1960 graduate of the Orangeburg High School. She was a 4-H Leader and was very active in 4-H in Fleming County also she was a Kentucky Colonel. She attended the Elizaville Christian Church and belonged to the Secret Sisters club. She enjoyed watching University of Kentucky basketball and one of her favorite things to do was shopping on QVC.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death her husband, Timmy Perkins; one sister Charlotte Gore.

Survivors include one son, Timmy (Christa) Perkins of Flemingsburg; three daughters, Carol Jean Perkins of Ewing, Mary Beth Napier (Bill) also of Ewing, and Elizabeth Rose Perkins (Nick) of Springfield, Ohio; one brother, Randy Filson of Wyoming, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Tiffany Napier (Logan Bach), Brad Napier (Amber), Morgan Hunt (Tyler), Cayla McFarland, Kennedy Cannon (Carson), Chaston McFarland (Campbell), Kooper Perkins, Arlee Perkins, and Jessie Snyder; eight great-grandchildren, Lane, Andrew, Kayleigh, Gunner, Remmy, Emberlee, Elena, and Devante; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at  11:00 AM Tuesday, May 26, 2026 in the chapel of the Price Brothers Funeral Home with Brother Tyler Hunt and Rev. Rich Anderson officiating.

Brenda will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband in the Elizaville Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 5 PM on Monday, May 25, 2026 at the funeral home.

Casket bearers will be Timmy Perkins, Brad Napier, Kooper Perkins, Chaston McFarland, Tyler Hunt, Logan Bach, Carson Cannon, and Bobby Knipp. 

Honorary casket bearers will be Nick Snyder, Bill Napier, John Hyatt, her granddaughter and great-grandchildren. 

All arrangements for Brenda Carol Filson Perkins and family are under the care and direction of the Price Brothers Funeral Home, 5197 Elizaville Road, Ewing, Kentucky 41039.
