Constance Marie "Connie" McCord

Constance Marie “Connie” McCord, 75 of Elizaville, Kentucky passed away December 7, 2024, at Fleming County Hospital in Flemingsburg, Kentucky.

 She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio May 17, 1949, to the late Orville Thomas Shields and Ella Mae Field Shields.

Connie was a retired school bus driver for the Cincinnati Public School System and the Fleming County Schools. She was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, traveling and playing bingo.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Douglas “Bubber” McCord; her daughter, Renee' Hoffman; her brothers; Thomas McKinley Shields, and Orville Timothy Shields, a half-sister, Loretta Lee Chase and a best friend, Tommye Ruth Rankin.

Survivors include her nephew Timothy Daniel Shields (Kelsey) of Brooksville, Kentucky. Great nephew, Orville Talon Shields, two half-sisters; Pat Lester of Harrison, Ohio and Carol Jean Carrick (Norvel) of Palmdale, California, Sisters-in-law, Joann Shields and Kristi Shields. Also, her best friend, Peggy Whisman of Tilton, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Thursday, December 12, 2024, in the chapel of Price Brothers Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Ingram officiating.

Connie will be laid to rest in the  Elizaville Cemetery.

Visitation at The Price Brothers Funeral Home will be after 11:00 A.M. until the hour of service.

Pall bearers will be family and friends.

Memorial contributions are suggested to a charity of one’s choice.
