Dorothy Mae Fryman Faris, 81, of Nepton Road, Ewing, Kentucky departed this life on Monday, March 11, 2024, at her residence.
She was born December 13, 1943, in Bath County, Kentucky a daughter of the late Harrison Fryman and Olive Mitchell Fryman.
Dorothy was a member of the Pleasant Valley Church of God and was also a graduate of Nicholas County High School. She enjoyed baking, canning vegetables out of the garden, working with her flowers alongside the garden but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings; Danny Fryman, Scott "Duke" Fryman, Clay Fryman, Clifton "Tip" Fryman, Oliver "Buddy" Fryman, Paul Fryman, Billy Fryman, Raymond "Frog" Fryman and sister, Juanita Fryman McCarty.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry Faris of Ewing; one son Greg Faris and wife Sandy of Ewing; one brother, Larry "Bugs" Fryman; three grandchildren, Amber Pillis (Mike), Alivia Faris (Tanner Stevens) and Jonathan Faris (Jillian Ponchot), several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 16, 2024 in the chapel of the Price Brothers Funeral Home with Minister Willie Martin officiating.
She will be laid to rest in the family plot at the Elizaville Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
Casket bearers will be Mike Pillis, Randy Fryman, Kenny Ramey, Marvin Paul, Jesse Flora, and Jonathan Faris.
