Emily Frances Fulton, 78, of Mayslick, Kentucky passed away Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Hospice of Hope Care Center at Kenton Point in Maysville, Kentucky.
She was born on December 9, 1939, to the late L. O. (Leonard Owen) and Mamie Hamilton Davis in Fleming County, Kentucky.
She was the widow of Roy Glen Fulton.
Roy and Frances were married on November 3, 1955.
Frances spent her early years helping Roy farm and raising her seven children. Once her children were all grown, she obtained her GED and nursing license. Her first job was in the dietary department at Fleming County Hospital and she continued to work at the hospital for many years after obtaining her nursing license. Upon leaving Fleming County Hospital she continued to care for people at Pioneer Trace Nursing Home and Bourbon Heights Nursing Home. After she retired, she spent her days doing crafts, shopping and spending time with her friends and family. She spent her last days caring for her husband at home. She was also a member of the Fairview Christian Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Roy Glen Fulton on January 2, 2018, a son, Terry Lee Fulton, her siblings, Bill Davis, Owen Davis, Betty Davis, Virginia Hinton Johnson, Laura Mae Davis Franks and Donnie Johnson and a grandson, Jonathon Hickerson.
She leaves behind six children, Glen (Cindy) Fulton of Hogansville, Georgia, Brenda Fulton of Ewing, Kentucky, Nanci (James) Hickerson of Flemingsburg, Kentucky, Joyce (Frank Miller, Jr.) Fulton of Ewing, Kentucky, Timothy (Melinda) Fulton of Flemingsburg, Kentucky and Ray Fulton of Flemingsburg, six siblings, Wilma (Harold) Yazell, Wanda Barton, Euline Tibbs, Ora Lee (Janette) Davis, Jack Davis and Harold Lynn (Kathy) Davis, seventeen grandchildren, Sam Fulton, Randall Fulton, Eric Fulton, Steven Fulton, Robert Fulton, Regina Williams, Kim Moore, Denise Tubbs, Justin Fulton, Jesse Fulton, Angelica Cropper, Chris Fulton, Terry Fulton, Marla Clark, Sabastian Grannis, Shane Grannis and Joshua Hickerson and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, a special neighbor, Larry Doyle and friends.
As per her wishes there will be no traditional services. There will be a celebration of her life at the Price Brothers Funeral Home on Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Brother Layne Wagner will officiate the service. All friends and family are welcome to attend and help us remember both of them as we say our final goodbyes to her.
The Family wishes to extend their since thanks to the Hospice of Hope Team for all they have done for them during the passing of both Roy and Frances; Larry Doyle, you are one special person and they can't thank you enough; Joan Gallagher and Teresa Roberts for being there for her after Roy died and for them during her passing; Palmer Funeral Home and Price Brothers Funeral Home for allowing them to follow her wishes.
