Ernest Louis Hunt, Jr. 83, of Ewing, passed away Thursday, December 3, 2020 at the Care Center at Kenton Pointe in Maysville after an extended illness. He was born in Fleming County, Kentucky on May 7, 1937 to the late Ernest H. Hunt and Irene Evans Hunt Kirk.
Ernest was a retired farmer and of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed baseball and collecting arrowheads and Indian relics and artifacts. He was known for joking and cutting up with family and friends.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ethel Hamilton Hunt, two daughters; Sabrina Hunt and Shirley Preston. One brother, Frank Hunt and sisters, Betty Hill and Joyce Crump.
Survivors include one son, Kenny (Sylvia) Hunt of Ewing, three daughters; Susy Wills of Augusta, Kentucky, Mary Evelyn (Billy) McCormick of Hillsboro, Kentucky and Tammy (Kelly) Stull of Frenchburg, Kentucky. Two brothers: Oscar Hunt of Tollesboro, Kentucky and Bobby Joe Hunt of Georgetown, Ohio. Sisters; Margie Vineyard of Knoxville, Tennessee, Agnes Rash of Aberdeen, Ohio, Brenda Smith of Georgetown, Kentucky and Linda Miller of Ewing, Kentucky. Nine grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.
Private graveside services and burial will be conducted Monday, December 7, 2020 in the Sunset Memorial Gardens at Flemingsburg with Pastor Bobby Joe Hunt officiating.
Family and friends will serve as pall bearers.
