Gerald Ray Smith, 58, of Carlisle, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, August 20, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, Kentucky. 

Born December 21, 1964 in Bourbon County Kentucky, a son of Frances Clem Smith and the late Earsel Smith.

Gerald was a member of the Shepherd's House Church in Maysville, Kentucky. He enjoyed fishing, going to church and just being a hard worker throughout all his life. 

In addition to his father, Gerald was preceded in death by one brother, Archie Smith.

In addition to his mother, survivors include the mother of his children, Rita Mitchell Smith; two sons, Coty Smith of Carlisle and Jesse Smith (Alyssa) of Maysville; four daughters, Katrina Mitchell (Dennis), Jessica Perraut, Kelly Smith, and Katie Smith all of Carlisle; one brother, Miller Smith of Fleming County; and fourteen grandchildren, Hayden, Elizabeth, Triston, Novaleigh, Broly, Carter, Cooper, Broklyn, Addison, Zachary, Cameron, Peyton, Tamra, and Claire; two nieces, Brandy Smithson and Brittany Smith. 

A memorial service will take place at 1:00 P.M. on Friday August 25, 2023 at the Shepherd's House Church 209 East Third Street in Maysville with Brother Gordy Jones officiating. 

Burial will take place at a later date in the Paris Cemetery in Paris, Kentucky. 

All arrangements for Gerald Ray Smith and family are under the care and direction of the Price Brothers Funeral Home, 5197 Elizaville Road, Ewing, Kentucky 41039.
