Larry Wayne Biddle, age 90, of Ewing, Kentucky, peacefully departed into his heavenly home, surrounded by the love of his family, on Thursday, October 2, 2025.
Born September 26, 1935 to the late Howard “Dump” and Christine Biddle of Ewing, Kentucky.
Larry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Larry wore many hats in his lifetime. During his younger years, he helped his father on the family farm and worked at Browning Manufacturing, in Maysville. Larry was also an entrepreneur; he was the co-owner of NAPA in Flemingsburg and the owner of Biddle’s Grocery in Ewing, which he shared with his wife. Larry was best known for his years of service with Ashton’s Carpet Care, Inc. and B-Restored, Inc. The best part, was being able to work side-by-side with his best friend and son, Ashton. Larry never met a stranger. While working, he loved meeting new friends and chatting with old customers; which he continued to do within two weeks of his passing.
Having a young spirit at heart, Larry was always ready for the next venture. “Papaw Larry,” lovingly referred to by his great-grandsons, felt that family time was everything. He also, occasionally enjoyed showing his undeniable skills of cornhole throwing with his special friends, Tim Greer and Rob Earlywine.
In addition to his parents, Larry was predeceased by a son, Randall Wayne Biddle of Ewing; a grandson, Brian Chase McCord of Ewing; and a nephew Ryan Mathew Biddle of Pennsylvania.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 68 years, Caroline Sue (Storey); his son, Howard Ashton (Kim) Biddle of Flemingsburg; a daughter, Sara Lyn (Bobby) McCord of Ewing; granddaughters, Crystal (Michaela) Biddle of Morehead and Kayla (Justin) Chafin of Lexington; two great-grandsons, Brooks and Braedy Biddle; a brother, Terry (Amy) Biddle, niece Courtney, great-nieces, Kamdyn, Sloan, and a great-nephew, Levi, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; as well as extended family and numerous dear friends.
Larry was a member of the Ewing Christian Church and attended the Flemingsburg Christian Church. Larry will be greatly missed by those that had the privilege of knowing him.
