Leslie Richard Mitchell

Leslie Richard Mitchell, 82, of Ewing, Kentucky went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 20, 2023 at his home surrounded by his beloved family.

He was born in Mexico, Kentucky on October 13, 1940.  The son of the late Theodore Mitchell and Roxie Sapp Mitchell. 

Leslie was a lifelong farmer and hunter.  His bright light, infectious smile, joyous laughter and bigger than life demeanor will never be forgotten.  He was an avid fox hunter and moonshiner.  He also enjoyed trading dogs at court days, whittling and spending time with all his family. 

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Brenda Mitchell, two sons, Michael R. Mitchell and Chris Mitchell, two brothers, Charlie Mitchell and Melvin Mitchell and one sister, Clara Jackson, one great niece, Hannah Shields and three great grand babies.

Survivors include his children, Penny Hauser (Jim), Richard Mitchell (Sue), Bonnie Hunt (Mark), Leslie G. Mitchell (Jennifer), Jamie Mitchell, Walter Mitchell (Barbie), David Mitchell (Lori), Jimmy Morris (Molly Craig), Bill Watkins (Donna), Howard Hall (Martha), one sister, Shirley Workman, twenty grandchildren, eighty two great grandchildren and one great great grandchild and many nieces and nephews and a father figure to many more. 

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Friday, March 24, 2023 in the chapel of the Price Brothers Funeral Home in Elizaville, Kentucky with Brothers, Tommy Fern, Alvin Eckler and Rodney Pollitt officiating. 

Burial will follow at the Dayton Chapel Cemetery in Pleasant Valley. 

Visitation at Price Brothers Funeral Home in Elizaville will be from 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM Thursday. 

Pallbearers include, Mitch Hunt, Daniel Hunt, Brandon English, Dustin Jolly, Josh Mitchell, Nicholas Mitchell and James Hall. 

Honorary Pallbearers include his grandchildren and family.
