Marion Thomas Buchanan, Jr

Marion Thomas Buchanan, Jr., 63 of Ewing, Kentucky passed away Thursday, August 1, 2024, at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical in Lexington, Kentucky from injuries sustained in a farming accident.

He was born February 16, 1961, in Maysville, Kentucky to the late Marion Thomas "Tommie" Buchanan, Sr. and Wanda "Dean" Johnson Buchanan.

Marion was a lifelong farmer who loved tending the earth and caring for his animals. He had a love for farming and enjoyed coon hunting, fishing, dirt track races and traveling. He was a graduate of Fleming County High School.

Survivors include his wife, Jennie Hamilton Buchanan, two sons, Cody Thomas Buchanan and his wife Jennifer and Luke Tyler Buchanan and Kayla. One brother, Steve Buchanan and his wife Jennifer all of Ewing. Two stepchildren: Felicia Lorenzo and her husband Christian and Blake Conley.  Grandchildren, Ryan Thomas Buchanan and Gabby, Clayton Taylor Buchanan and Caleb Lorenzo. One great-grandchild, Phoenix Thomas Buchanan. One niece, Kendall Cooper and her husband Andy. Also, several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 7, 2024, in the chapel of the Price Brothers Funeral Home in Elizaville with Rev. Greg Grimes officiating.

Burial will follow in the Sunnyside Cemetery at Mt. Tabor.

Visitation at the Price Brothers Funeral Home is after 5:00 PM Tuesday.

Pall bearers will be Steve Buchanan, Mark Fryman, Terry Kinder, Terry Hunt, Roy Hickerson, Dave Emmons, Ryan Buchanan and Clay Buchanan.
