Mark Andrew Jones, 41, of Maysville, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at the Meadowview Regional Medical Center in Maysville.
He was born on December 18, 1980, in Enterprise, Alabama, the oldest son of George Andrew Jones of Maysville and the late Marsha Downing Hart Jones.
Mark was a stone fabricator and sculptor. He graduated from Mason County High School in Maysville and the Kentucky Wesleyan University in Owensboro, Kentucky with a bachelor's degree. Mark's father was a career Army soldier and their military family lived in many states and two foreign countries until they permanently settled in Maysville in 1992.
Mark worked for Rural King in Maysville as a Power Equipment Sales Assistant. Before that he worked in Lexington for Lexington Cut Stone as a stone fabricator. He had also worked as a utility maintenance worker for the Maysville City Public Works Department. Marks best friend and companion was his rescue dog Koda who traveled everywhere with him.
He enjoyed making sculptures, swimming at Park Lake, riding bikes and target shooting.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his cousin, Hunter Womack.
In addition to his father, survivors include one brother, Ben Jones (Elizabeth) of Maysville, aunts Amanda Womack of Lexington, Kentucky and Peggy (Ricky) Gray of Ewing, Kentucky, uncle, Frazee Hart of Ewing, nephews, Aaron Rudd, Theo Jones and Isaac Jones and cousins, Jennifer Vanderpool, Whitt Gray, Richie Gray, Alec Hart, Austin Hart and Gaines Womack.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 15, 2022, in the chapel of the Price Brothers Funeral Home in Elizaville with Rev. Greg Grimes officiating.
Burial will follow in the Fleming County Cemetery.
Visitation is after 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Ben Jones, Whitt Gray, Richie Gray, Gaines Womack, Alec Hart and Austin Hart.
Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Parker, Aaron Rudd, Theo Jones and Isaac Jones.
