Michael David Hartley, 75 of the Goddard community in Fleming County, Kentucky passed away Saturday morning, November 2, 2024, at his home. He was born in Maysville, Kentucky April 24, 1949, to the late David Holten Hartley and Blanche Shepherd Hartley.
Michael was a United States Air Force veteran having served during the Vietnam era. He was retired from Dravo in Maysville where he worked as a Superintendent. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, spending time on Cave Run Lake, Kentucky Wildcats Basketball, Nascar, and the Cincinnati Bengals. He was a member of the Franklin Sousley VFW Post #1834 and a former member of the Masonic Lodge.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Patrick Hartley and Jimmy Fulton.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Johnson Hartley whom he married December 2, 1995. One daughter, Annette Knipp of Ewing, Kentucky. One stepson, Leonard Burke, Jr. of Flemingsburg, Kentucky and one stepdaughter, Emily Miller and her husband Mark who helped Michael so much.
Six grandchildren, Christine Knipp, Brittany Burke, Brandon Burke, Bradley Burke, Paige Miller and Ashley Miller. Eight great-grandchildren and several other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Thursday, November 7, 2024, in the chapel of the Price Brothers Funeral Home with Pastor Rodney Pollitt officiating.
Burial with full military rites by the by the W.N. Fant American Legion Post 5, the Franklin Sousley VFW Post #1834 and the United States Air Force will be in the Elizaville Cemetery.
Visitation at the Price Brothers Funeral Home is after 11:00 A.M. Thursday.
Pall bearers will be Leonard Burke, Jr., Mark Miller, Brandon Burke, Bradley Burke, Matthew Pollitt and Everett Ray Johnson.
