Mildred Francis Watkins Throckmorton

Mildred Francis Watkins Throckmorton, 87 of the Cowan Community passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2025 at the Georgetown Community Hospital in Georgetown, Kentucky.

She was born February 19, 1937 in Nicholas County, Kentucky a daughter of the late Nelson Watkins and Irene Mitchell Watkins. 

Mildred was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, quilting, and cooking but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter (W.L) Throckmorton who passed away July 11, 2021; one son-in-law Ricky Dale; one step son, John Throckmorton; four sisters, Sylvia White, Dottie Watkins, Lillian Watkins, and Faye Alexander; one granddaughter, Erika Dale.

Survivors include three son, Chris Jolly (Maria), Mike Jolly (Laura) and Ricky Jolly all of Ewing; one daughter, Darlene Dale also of Ewing; one sister, Bessie Thornsburg of Carlisle, Kentucky; 11 grandchildren, Cassie Stephens (Noah), Ricky L. Jolly, Alva Shields, Jessica Hunt, Jordan Morris, Chris Sapp, Lucas Jolly, Londa Feedback, Jeremy Feedback, Michelle Stacy and Michael Jolly; several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 8, 2025 in the chapel of the Price Brothers Funeral Home in Elizaville with Brother Steve Smith officiating.

Mildred will be laid to rest in the Elizaville Cemetery.

Visitation is after 11:00 A.M. Wednesday until the hour of service at the funeral home.
