Nora Frances Mitchell

Nora Frances Mitchell, 77, of Deerlick Road, Ewing, Kentucky departed this life on Monday, May 27, 2024 at the Meadowview Regional Medical Center in Maysville, Kentucky.

She was born October 7, 1946 in Ewing, a daughter of the late Christine Buchanan.

Nora was a retired caregiver at a local veterans home. She enjoyed watching Westerns on TV, looking for a good bargain at yard sales, square dancing at the Tilton Barn Dance, country music, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. She attended the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.

In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Mitchell; her grandmother who raised her, Blanche Buchanan; one son, Charles Reynolds "Bubber" Mitchell and her beloved dog Sally.

Survivors include four daughters, Patty Abner, Jenny Mitchell, Cathy Mitchell, and Beverly Mitchell (D.J. Dailey) all of Ewing; nine grandchildren, Johnathan Abner, Jeremy (Chubby) Abner, Tiffany Abner, Darick Mitchell (Sarah), Danika Doyle, Chris Overbey (Lincoln), Dillon Mitchell (Kara), Sarah Bailey Applegate (Jeremy) Shiann Hylander (Eric); Sixteen great-grandchildren, Levi, Jase, Darah, Peyton, Macie, Kinsley, Addison, Aiden Ray, Delilah, Maddie, Myra, Jara, Kaylee, Kacey, Zach, and Sophia; several other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Friday May 31, 2024 in the chapel of the Price Brothers Funeral Home in Elizaville.

Nora will be laid to rest in the Sunnyside Cemetery at Mt. Tabor.

Visitation at the funeral home will be Thursday evening after 6:00 P.M.

Casket Bearers will be Johnathan Abner, Chris Overbey, Dillon Mitchell, Darick Mitchell, D.J. Dailey, and Eric Hylander.

Honorary casket bearers will be Jeremy Abner, Bobby Gray, and Jimmy Meade.
