Robert Richard “Dickie” Barbee, 75, of Flemingsburg, passed away Monday, October 5, 2020.
He was born at Maysville, Kentucky on August 25, 1945, a son of the late Robert Tilford Barbee and Jo Dorothy Richards Barbee.
Dickie was retired from Dayton Power & Light Company, where he was a control room operator and he served in the United States Army Reserves 100th Division.
He was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Christian Church and the Colonel Fleming Muzzleloaders and he enjoyed camping, woodworking, building puzzles, going to yard sales and auctions and vacations, especially at Myrtle Beach.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Debbie Riley Barbee, who passed away on October 18, 2017.
Survivors include three sons, Steve (Ramona) Barbee, Darin (Anna Marie) Barbee and Michael (Stephanie) Barbee all of Ewing, the mother of his children, Violet Barbee of Ewing, one brother, Ronnie Barbee of Ewing, nine grandchildren, Anna Barbee, Dalton Barbee, Jerica Barbee, Michaela Barbee, Corey Barbee, Covey Barbee, Nicholas Barbee, Abygale Barbee and Zaine Barbee and three great-grandchildren, Maisen Barbee, Maylee Barbee and Blakely Barbee.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Friday, October 9, 2020 in the chapel of the Price Brothers Funeral Home in Elizaville with Rev. Dean Brewer officiating.
Burial with full military honors by the W. N. Fant American Legion Post No. 5 and the Franklin Sousley VFW Post No. 1834 will be in the Elizaville Cemetery.
Visitation is after 6:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons and Pat Story.
Honorary pallbearers will be his granddaughters and members of the United States Army Reserves 100th Division.
