Mr. Ronald Houston Hunt, 77, of Ewing, Kentucky, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 peacefully at his home, surrounded by his wife and children.
He was born on May 21, 1941 in Fleming County, Kentucky, a son of the late Ollie Nelson Hunt and Nannie Hunt.
Mr. Hunt was a retired farmer and mechanic.
He enjoyed making canes, going to church, living for the Lord and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Houston was a long-time member of the First Church of God in Flemingsburg, Kentucky, where he left many loving friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by nine brothers, Curt Hunt, Bob Hunt, Marshall Hunt, Shorty Hunt, Ollie Hunt, Leo Hunt, George Hunt, Virgil Hunt and Junior Hunt and three sisters, Meril Hunt, Pauline Davenport and Elsie Davenport.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, June Duncan Hunt, a special friend, his little dog, Monkey, three sons, Ronnie Hunt (Robyn) of Ewing, Darrell Hunt (Denise) of Orangeburg and Jeff Hunt (April) of Ewing, one daughter, Rhonda Plummer (Everett) of Ewing, seven grandchildren, Brandon Hunt (Rose), Venessa Sharp (Chris), Heather Peterson (Eric), Stephanie Sandlin (Matthew), Keith Hunt (LeAnna), Hevan Lowe (Travis) and Cheylene Plummer (Jeremy Frodge), twelve great-grandchildren, Braden, Reagan, Isaac, Isaiah, Elizabeth, Emma, Damian, Levi, Aiden, Bayleigh, Lucas and Tinley and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Friday, February 22, 2019 in the chapel of the Price Brothers Funeral Home in Elizaville with Brother Jerry Boling officiating.
Burial will follow in the Elizaville Cemetery.
Visitation is after 6:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Hunt, Keith Hunt, Chris Sharp, Eric Peterson, Travis Lowe, Matthew Sandlin, Wayne Hunt, Pat Hunt and Jeremy Frodge.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jay Wiggington, Gary Duncan, Charles Adams, Robyn Duncan Hunt and Donnie Duncan.
