Vicky Lynn Wilcoxson Purvis, born on March 19, 1961, in Carlisle, Kentucky, passed away on February 17, 2026 at her home in Bath County, Kentucky.  She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose presence will be sorely missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Vicky was a proud graduate of Nicholas County High School and Webster College, demonstrating a commitment to education that reflected her dedication to personal growth and development. Throughout her life, she was known for her warmth, kindness, and her love for family. She cherished every moment spent with her loved ones, taking joy in gatherings filled with laughter and love.

Her interests were varied; she enjoyed shopping, sewing, and crocheting, activities that allowed her to express her creativity and generosity, often resulting in handmade gifts for family and friends. Vicky's passion for life and connection to others was evident in everything she did.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Purvis, affectionately known as "Duck." Together, they fostered a loving and supportive partnership. Vicky's legacy continues through her children: two sons, Terry W. Herrington Jr. (Laura) of Carlisle, Kentucky, and James A. Herrington "Gus" (Cali) of Rarden, Ohio, as well as her daughter, Heather Jewell Herrington Carpenter (Spring) of Ewing. Vicky was a proud grandmother to eleven grandchildren: Andrew Herrington, Kirsten Herrington, Ayden Herrington, Angel Herrington, Zoe Herrington, Bailey Herrington, Tyler Herrington, Jacob Herrington, Blaiden Sheffield, Lacy Sheffield, and Ian Sheffield. She also held a special place in her heart for her great-grandchildren, Earl John Gilvin, Harper Gilvin, Bryar Herrington, Cooper Herrington, and Kaison Herrington, along with her step-grandchildren, Wrayanne Hope Padgett, Brooklyn Padgett, Mason Thompson, and William Meadows. Additionally, Vicky had several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends who will remember her fondly.

Vicky was preceded in death by her parents, James Wilcoxson and Elizabeth Hunt Wilcoxson, her brother, James Keith Wilcoxson, her grandson, Johnathan Wayne Shields, and her great-granddaughter, Jewellynn Purvis.

Visitation for Vicky will be held on February 21, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Price Bros Funeral Home in Elizaville, Kentucky, followed by a funeral service from 12:00 PM at the same location.

Vicky will be laid to rest beside her father in the Carlisle Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be James Herrington, Terry Herrington, Andrew Herrington, Brad Herrington, Gerald Tom Kimes, and Steven Kimes.
